Since 2018, the Human Rights Foundation has brought the Oslo Freedom Forum (OFF) to Taipei, creating one of Asia’s most significant platforms for conversations on freedom, democracy, and human rights.
Each edition gathers dissidents, activists, journalists, technologists, and civil-society leaders from around the world.

自 2018 年起，Human Rights Foundation（人權基金會）將奧斯陸自由論壇（Oslo Freedom Forum, OFF）帶到台北，成為亞洲少數聚焦民主、自由與人權議題的國際對話平台。
每屆皆匯聚全球人權捍衛者、記者、科技工作者與公民組織領袖。

Each year introduced a new set of challenges: diverse speaker backgrounds, sensitive stories, multi-stakeholder coordination, tight timelines, and the need to design a coherent narrative experience across stage, space, visuals, and audience engagement.

每一年都需重新整合議題差異、文化敏感性、講者背景、跨國協作、空間限制與時間壓力，並建立一條能串聯視覺、舞台、動線、影片與整體參與體驗的敘事主線。
Approach
I focused on establishing a clear narrative spine for each edition—an interpretive structure that connected global advocacy with local understanding. This included:

‣ Designing stage and spatial experiences that supported each speaker’s story.
‣ Structuring program flow around emotional arcs and attention cycles.
‣ Translating complex political content into clear visual and spatial language.
‣ Ensuring coherence across visuals, film, live-streaming, exhibition zones, and audience pathways.
‣ Integrating cross-border teams, local partners, volunteers, and technical crews into a unified production rhythm.

我為每屆 OFF in Taiwan 建立一個清晰的「敘事主軸」，作為所有內容與體驗的核心框架，並透過：
‣ 將年度主題轉譯為台灣觀眾的理解切角
‣ 設計支撐講者故事的舞台與空間體驗
‣ 將複雜議題整理成清楚的節目節奏與情緒弧線
‣ 以視覺與場域語言呈現敏感且多層次的內容
‣ 統整跨國團隊、在地資源與技術製作，確保整體一致性
‣ 讓論壇的內容、形式與情感能在同一條敘事線上運作。
Outcome
Across four editions, OFF in Taiwan has become a trusted, anticipated forum for global and local human-rights communities. The event delivered:

‣ High-quality production that met international standards.
‣ A platform where Taiwanese audiences could connect directly with global democratic movements.
‣ A repeatable creative-producing framework now used by partnering organisations.

My contribution over these four editions was to build a narrative spine that allowed each year’s programme—its speakers, stories, and political contexts—to form a coherent experience for both local and international audiences.
